The large brass fitting in the center originally contained a check valve and was used for the subzero starting assist injection. It should now be hooked to the PVC valve so that crank case nasties can escape into the carburetor.

The dizzy advance goes to the first port on the spacer (I think). I'm rusty on this because I run advanced timing as per Paul Yaw's instructions, and don't use the vacuum pot.

Vacuum advance is like 7·Up; Never had it, never will.

Sterling, I like the idea of using the subzero fitting for PCV steam sucking.

Who, me? Uh, after I rebuild my '73 12A of course. Streetported with '83-'85 (light) rotating assembly. I'd probably need a banana carb, right? I've got an '81-'85 Nikki I could send (it's bolted to the stupid style manifold, so that's how I know it's an FB carb hehe).

One question for you. What should I put this engine in? I don't have an RX-2, so the sky's the limit.

How's your fuel pump? It sounds like it can't keep up now...

Time to step up to the plate...

The Sterling Carb flows plenty for the 12 SP.

Put it in a '71 Opel GT, or Triumph GT6...two of my favorite sportscar shapes.

Please give me a better description, including what RPMs this is happening.

-You did upgrade the pump, correct?
What's the pressure at now?

-Only a Sterling Carb is good enough to warrant such an expensive pump, I will give you that.
(...searching for smilie icon of fat head expanding & exploding...

-But then the Sterling Carb is versatile enough not to need it.
A Carter will do fine.

Those are two cars I've considered in the past. We'll see once my GLC, REPU, MG and Cosmo are road-ready.

I'll look into a Carter pump and a Holley 1-4PSI regulator for the Sterling carb. Is that correct?
