need help w/ my 1st gen rx7

i have two 1st gen rx7, one has a blown motor and the other is ok. Both cars was given to me and I don't know that much about rotary engines. The engine that is working, before I pulled it out from the car I let run for about 45 minutes just to make sure is not overheating or etc. I swapped the two engine because the body of the rx7 has a blown engine is in pretty good condition unlike the other one.

Here is my problem......right after I put the good engine to the good body, i started the engine and it starts, but white smokes was coming out from the exhaust. I let it run for awhile and i thought the white smoke will go away, but i was wrong. The thing that i don't understand is, how come the white smoke wasn't there when that engine was still in the car which was i let it run for 45 minute before i pulled it out. It was running fine and no problem until I installed it on the other car.

so....if you guys could help me...that will be great or give me some information what is going on.

I'm going out on a limb here, but.. did you let the engine you pulled out sit for awhile before installing it in the otherone? if so, then you are probably just dealing with some stuck apex seals from sitting.

Solution: run it for a while. Get it good and warm. Turn it off, then pour 2 ounces of Automatic Transmission fluid in each side of your carb. Then bump your engine over a few times with your ignition wires disconnected and your fuel pump fuse pulled out of the fuse block (under the dash, left hand side.)

AFter you have bumped it over a few times (all you are doing is ensuring that ATF has covered all the APEX seals.) let it sit over night.

Next day- start it up. (note: your neighbors will think that you started a brush fire in your front yard.) Run it for a while until the smoke goes away. then drive it. DRIVE IT HARD. Take it almost to redline. (you're getting the carbon worked out.)

Ok, now you'll probably be wondering why your car isn't running quite right- you now need new spark plugs. Once you put in new NGK spark plugs, you should be just fine.

The other thing that immediately comes to mind is a loosened up manifold gasket (intake). Did you either remove the intake manifold, or possibly smack it during the install?
There are rubber O rings that seal up coolant passages that flow throughout the manifold. They rot and cause what you describe, as coolant gets sucked into the engine.
If you tapped the manifold good enough, you may have loosened up a rotten, gummy rubber seal, and now coolant is coming in.
This is VERY common, and not worrysome. It will cost you less than ten bucks for a new gasket set, and installation is a pain in the ***. But it'll be good for another 20 years. (O.K., maybe fifteen.)

Gaskets can be had at Mazda Trix or Racing Beat. Compare prices and find out what your local parts place will charge.

Some things to think about in your 'swap' scenario is making sure that the car that you swapped the good engine into has good working parts in other areas that were fine in the first (non-running) car. Things like;

1) Fuel filter at the gas tank lead in the left rear fenderwell (just above the rear axle) - replace this to ensure that you're getting good flow and clean fuel to the engine.
2) Gas quality - if you had old gas in the non-running car (which is VERY common), you may have had water condense in there which would burn as steam, but also cause idle and running problems. Dump the old gas and try fresh gas.
3) Oil system - if you had to disconnect and reconnect oil cooler lines (you didn't mention which model was the 'donor' and which model is the 'good'), you'll want to ensure that they're hooked up right, and your cooler is working.
4) As the previous poster stated, if you removed the carbs and/or manifolds in the 'swap', you may have jostled something - did you leave the carb and manifold in place during the 'swap'?

Some more information may be useful to help us to point you in the right direction.

first of all....i would like to thank you guys for helping by giving more than one reasons and solutions with my problem with my car. I'll try to apply the solutions that you guys told me.
