Need HELP w/car audio wiring

Ok, I'll admit it....I don't know jack about electronics, except how to turn them on & off.
I installed a new (to me) twin stalk car stereo a couple of months ago (with help from some gracious forum members)...and all has been fine...except my cassette collection is all time-warped in the Mid 80's, so I've grown tired listening to The Who and Molly Hatchet...
I just bought a 10 disc Pioneer CD changer (I know....welcome to the 90's), and I want to wire it into my new/old system and I was hoping someone might be able to give a little guidance...
I need to wire in the "power" plug...basically, it has three wires. Wire #1 is Black, so I can be pretty sure that one goes to ground. Wire #2 Orange/Red and is tagged "ACC" Wire #3 is Red, has a 2a fuse and is tagged "Battery".
My question is, can I just splice Wire #3 (Red) into the Red "Power" wire on my radio, and splice the #2 (Orange/Red) into the Yellow "Memory" wire on the radio?
Thanks in advance for any advice given.

Original stereo install post...shows how I got to where I am right now... https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generation-specific-1979-1985-18/help-me-install-stereo-into-my-83-a-967842/

The ACC wire (orange and red) is to be wired to a 12V switch. You just have to find something that gets 12V to it when the key is in the "ACC" position (just before "on")

Yeah Funk is right. If you wire that to the battery itself it would be on constantly and it would drain. That wire is similar to an amplifier's "Remote" wiring - so the device will only be powered on when the stereo is powered on.
