I am trying to change the color of the face plate of my main instrument panel (spedometer, oil pressure, Tachometer, Gas gauge)....
I have been wracking my brain trying to find out how to remove this to make a template or to paint it.
Some one please help,.... I have already removed down the the clear plastic cover. Cant find anything else holding on, but it doesnt budge.
Email me at johnlbradley@mindspring.com As soon as possible if you can give any assistance as well as posting here for others to reference.

there are screws through the back of the gauge cluster.
you are going to need to take out the entire cluster, remove those screws, take off the spedo and tac nedles, and then you can take off the plate.
hope this helps

oopss. that is right, the needles are just incase you want to take apart the actual gauges (i got board one night and disected my extra one)..... after you unscrew the panel, it should come right off...
There are 2 screws that hold on the outer bezel and 2
clips too, remove the 2 screws, then work your way around to remove the bezel, there are 2 more screws
in the same place as the bezel screws that hold the
cluster from the top, remove those, the plastic around
the steering colum should be removed too, now,,under
the dash there are 2 screws one on each side of the
colum, that hold the cluster down from the bottom, they
are hard to see,but they are there, when you get those
out the last thing are the plugs (2) and speed-o cable,
if you need more help drop me a pm
