need help, my car has no emissions and has to pass inspection

I wsa thinking of getting these..

http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/I...22550510391514

http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/I...D:100000315643

and adding the airpump again. what else should I add? I got a '85 12A with no rats nest or emission equipment. I could purchase a ticket.. but i don't want to take the risk. I live in massachusetts and its got that 20 year old forget emission and go with safety thing, but i heard that the car has to pass emissions anyway. Anyone think that this setup will not work?

I don't want to run around and waste money. I need something that will work before next week, thanks for ya help.

i used to have a 12a with no emmisions or cats and a straight 3 in exhaust. all i did was buy 6 bottles of emmissions reducer/fuel cleaner and pour 2 in a full tank and un it till its empty. then i put like 5$ gas in and poured the other 4 bottles in and took it to the emmisions place and passed.

but in all seriousness, the guy that I bought the car from said that it never had anything other than the rats nest.. and thats gone. does that have anything to do with emissions? I am going to be inspecting the car soon. I don;t want any to go wrong. Anyone know if an '85 RX7 has to pass an emission test to pass inspection?

thanks, just the kind of info i needed to make a starveing toilet happy

I guess I will just have to get myself a airpump and some lines to work it into the cat, then go from there.
any thoughts about adding a high flow cat in place of the 2 smaller cats.. so that its got 2 big cats?

I had the same problem as you!! no emissions at all, so i borrowed one of my friends catalitic convertors, tuned my car down... way down... and it passed, also search for "alcohol emissions" read up on that... never tried it, heard it works

Let me get this straight.. airpump feeds air into converter only. If thats true then all I would need is something like..

http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/P...splay/ss-10101

or something similar. One thats got some sort of inlet for the airpump hose?
once it passes I'll just take the airpump and cats off

I thought that in the post with the alcohol it said that the alcohol eats up your o-rings. I wouldn't want it to burst while the car is being tested.

I just got done carefully removing 3 cats and an air pump and the rest of the stuff from an '84 that had passed smog in Calif. before coming to SC/GA where it has not been tested for about 2 years (but driven very little since here). Will sell cheap.
