Need help with a GSL-SE with a s4/s5 motor exhaust bypass question
Does anyone know if the gslse and the 2nd generation exhaust manifold has the same angle of the flange?
I somehow need to connect a pipe from the manifold to the stock se mid pipe. Racing Beat makes a cat bypass pipe that would work perfect but I don't know if that pipe will match up with the flange on the 2nd gen manifold.
The brief history:
Recently had my motor rebuilt in my 84 gslse and the motor consists of s5 side housing and s4 rotor housings and a 2nd generation exhaust manifold installed. I've been left with the task to complete the exhaust system and will eventually have a legal exhaust with a cat. But for right now, I just need it on the road so I can drive it to the places I need to get the car worked on instead of towing it everywhere.

the angle is probably very close, HOWEVER the outlet diameter is different between the gsl-se and s4/s5.
the gsl-se is 50mm and the FC's are 60/65mm the bolt pattern is different too.
the FC manifold coupled with a high flow cat is actually a good combo, it would take a muffler shop under an hour to set it all up too
plan B would be to just use the GSL-SE exhaust, as it bolts on
