need help with direct fire coil setup!!

i installed the 2nd gen coil set up for direct fire in my 84 gsl. i have no spark on the L2 side of the coil. checked plugs, wires, and switched wires and plugs from L2 to L1 still no spark on the L2. could it be a bad ground on the coil pack itself? i still can`t figure out why no spark. any help?

I believe that if you are getting spark on one, you should be getting it on the other as well. Sounds like you may have a bad coil.

kinda figured, but just wanted to make sure. do they both fire at the same time? i hooked up the resister through the - side, and i think i have it wired right..thick black wire to + on 2nd gen. coil, yellow to - on 2nd gen. coil.

yes they both fire at the same time. It's really just one coil firing to two plugs, difference is theres less resistance since you don't go through the dizzy
