hey im a real newby on the whole rotary engine, i have a 1984 rx7 gs 12a and i still cant get my car to run right. Its bogging really bad ,no power, and backfires like a gunshot after i shut it off as well as while driving. only two of the sparkplugs are firing. im pretty sure it must be ignitor, because i've put new cap, rotor, plugs, wires, coil packs. But i cant for the life of me find any used ignitors ones and they are $300 new in arnprior/renfrew ontario, i dont want to spend that unless it is the actual problem and its going to make my car run properly. I was wondering where i might find used ones close to me as well as an actual diagram of how the spark plugs are suppose to be put on? and any information on what to do the car has been sitting all winter but i want it out again real bad. i also was wondering i diod drive it for a while even tho it was running real bad and was wondering if that would have messed up something permanently in my motor. any help on this would be greatly appreciated i've tried searching the forums and everythings pretty confusing for me.

 

Make sure the plug wires are on correctly. The terminals on the distributor cap are marked T1, T2, L1, L2, L and T. L1 connects to the lower front plug. L2 connects to the lower rear plug. T1 connects to the top front plug. T2 connects to the top rear plug. L goes to the rear coil. T goes to the front coil.
