Exclamation Need Help!!!

Ok, i will have a lot of questions so please bare with me. I have an 84 gs and i need to know which battery cable is which, on has a yellowish stripe, and the other has 2 wires both flat black. Which is which?

the one with the yellow stripe is part of your ground, that i know for a fact, i just dont know where it goes... but i know you can check the cables with a ommeter...im not much help, but i did help a little

so your saying the cable with the yellow stripe is the neg.?

no its not the accual neg cable, its part of it, if it wasnt raining, id go take a pic. but why dont u search for engine bay pics, and see where it goes... it should be connected to the neg cable if im not mistaken

yes the yellow strip cable is negative the two black go to the positive post .

Easy way to tell is that the Negative ground goes straight from the battery terminal to the ground on the strut tower, while the positive cable has the little "piggy-back" that goes to the fusible links
