need to get rid of my 7

sorry if this sounds like an eBay ad, i just want to get rid of it, not sell itand make money off of it.

i've had an 83 limited edition 5spd on my front yard since last summer.

the back rotor is shot, but is drivable. (got it to 50mph, could probably do 65-70).

i already have 2 mr2's (one needs work), and don't really know much about rotory's. I really don't have the money, time and space to hold on to this car.

here's the catch;

I do not have the title! the car is clean, but the owner lost the title, and he's being very lazy.
oh, and you have to be able to pick it up. (i'm willing to drive it within the 11776 and 11777 area). i am in northern suffolk in NY, about an hour from NYC

you have to take the WHOLE car. the only thing you can leave me are the rims and accessories (but why would you do that?)

the body is in good shape, interior is ok, at best.
the starter, alternater, dist... all work.
the tires still have plenty of tread on them.

i took picks with my jam cam (horrible). they are here;
http://www.geocities.com/acantili/Jam173.jpg
goes from 173-180.
you have to cut and paste the url

if you can give me $50 for it that'd be good (as i can get it junked for $50 within a few hours).
the car, imo, is worth $500-800. if you want the title, and are willing to spend a few hundred, than would really convince the guy to go to the DMV and get another title mailed. (the guy had a bunch of 1st gen 7's, so he may still have a lot of sunroofs, wheels...)

my e-mail is acantili@hotmail.com if you don't want to post.

i've said the same thing; if the car wasn't all the way in CA i'd get it in a heartbeat.

maybe someone from the board will get it and send you whatever parts you need.

bump.
seems like not that many NY owners are on this board.

funny, as i've seen tons more 1st gen RX-7's than mki mr2's here. and from what i've seen on the board, 1st gens are rare. i guess just not in my area (they're definately not abundant here, but not very rare either).

in 2-3 weeks i'm going to either junk it, or more likely take it apart and part it out.

any idea on how heavy the engine (12a) is, and the tranny (5spd)?

what wheels? his avatar is tiny.

anyway, i would much rather prefer to give this car to some one who will put the car to good use. (ie; share the parts with the other members of the board and the like).

What? the wheels on the car you're getting rid of. What other wheels would I be referring to? I suck at photo editing that's why my avatar blows. What do you think I would just get the car and hide it in an undergournd lair? Of course I'd share the parts with other members. I wouldn't have a use for a lot of them and there's no room at my house to store a ton of stuff anyway. Trust me I'd put the car to good use. But it looks like 85rx7gs is getting it anyway so I'll back off. Peace
