I had my gas tank boilded out at a radiator shop, and had them install a new pick up and return line. The previous owner had screwed up the original lines, and just had them held in place with JB Weld. The radiator shop brazed in copper tubing. Pick up line goes to about 1/2 to 3/4 inch of the bottom of the tank, and the return line just sticks through the tank.

I made my own when I replaced my fuel lines with larger ones to feed the blower.
