Need FB demo car in Indianapolis area for new product setup

I'm working with Outlaw Engineering on developing a 1/4" phenolic gasket for the intake manifold. It'll have the effect of lowering the intake manifold temperature by both insulating the two metal bodies from eachother (one's REALLY hot, one's just got air going through it), and also by blocking off the coolant passage through the intake manifold (which is done for emissions).

This is being developed for race cars, but any 12A equipped FB will do. It MUST be a non-ported intake manifold and engine by the way (as it's being developed for stock cars).

They'll use your car (whole car.. it's the WINTER, come on..) for a specified amount of time to do measurements on (for proper spacing in the engine bay, make sure there's no clearance issues, etc, as well as the ports) and they'll give you a completed product for free when they're done.

What's involved?

To develop a new ThermoBlok spacer application, we prefer to have access to a full vehicle which will allow us to investigate fit-up issues and to do a before and after dyno test to asses performance changes. This will be done in two steps.

1) The first step will involve the inspection of the engine to document measurements, clearances, and any other issues that might impact a ThermoBlok spacer installation. If there are no 'show stoppers', we can proceed straight to step 2. If there are additional items that need to be worked out, i.e. adapters, brackets, etc, your car will be reassembled and sent home while the prototype parts are designed and constructed. Once any additional parts are ready, we will proceed to step 2.

2) The second step will involve recording the initial performance of the car, followed by the installation of the prototype ThermoBlok spacers. Lastly, final tests will be performed to asses the performance changes due to the ThermoBlok spacers. When we're done, you go home with a FREE set of ThermoBlok spacers installed on your car!

PM me or eMail me at mdeminico@comcast.net and we'll get in touch to do this.

btw the page for their product is here:

Indianapolis to Ohio isn't that far. What part of Ohio are you in?

I think its great what your trying to do for the IT7 sport. I feel a little hesitant on leaving my car with some dudes I don't know. Then their gonna tear my intake off and check it out. Then install a spacer and run the car without me there. I'd love to help out but for me to drive two and a half hours to indy to drop off the car. Then return to pick it up and hope these dudes did'nt mess something up seems a little skepticle to me. E-mail me personally with your info and I may consider this. pmpallbee@aol.com
