Need an explanation

WTF does this mean. It is on the RB website.

"With the exception of the 1976-78 RX-3 and the 1979-85 RX-7 engines, this kit increases engine output by approximately 20 HP with the stock exhaust system and approximately 40 hp with open headers."

Do they or anyone else know what the HP increase i could see with a stock port 81. After removing emissions.

I have no idea why they're making those exceptions, but they are saying with headers the exhaust will have bigger increase than having the exhaust without headers. That is completely understandable considering the stock manifold is the biggest restrictor. They mentioned nothing about ports, so I guess you cant assume they meant with stock ports.

Its talking about having a Holley Intake Kit with the Exhaust. But I was just wondering if anyone knew the HP gains of just the intake and carb and with all 3. Is the 20 and 40 HP the same for an 81.
