Need a bit of help!!!

I just finished a full front brake job, I pretty much replaced the whole front end, now i'm working on the rear discs, I have many Rx-7 manuels but none show a good diagram of how to remove the e-brake cable from the caliper, if I dont get it off I can't do the brake job!!! and i'm so close!!! help !!!
thanks

hey...theres an adjustment on the cable...its two nuts if i remember correctly...its still gonna take some muscling...but you should be able to get a bit more slack if you make sure the brake is OFF and adjust those two nuts...

i remember doin this on my bro's car and it pretty much sucked ***...but with some vise grips and hammerin and such...it came off...

Good luck man!

Yup, get 2 14mm wrenches. Loosen the nuts as far as you can and pull the cable away from the L bracket so you have room to move it, then manually move the lever on the caliper (I use vice grips) till you can clear the caliper ("un hooking it" so to speak) . Alternative to the vice grips is to remove the pin on the other end of the short cables so you gain the needed slack.

I would loosen it up on both ends, don't forget the adjustment in car, as well.
I had to do this a couple of times to get the cable back on the caliper. Makes it real easy.
