Its the stock Nikki. Had a host of problems. When I first got it the pump was bad. Replaced it, but the carb was in bad need of a rebuild. The jet spray was bad, some just dripped. So me and Garfinkle too her apart, cleaned everything thoroughly, and I got her put back on right before my night class. When I started her up I noticed a few leaks around the top plate, both on the left and right sides. Had to leave it for the night. Also, it has a header on it, so the Anit afterbuern thing has no fucntion, so it is removed. Also the Cold Start Assist apparently does not work since when I was reconnecting cables, I noticed that it wasn't even plugged in and hadn't been for some time. So that cable as well as the CSA itself are gone. It will fire up, but the leaks scare me. Also I haven't set the idle speed or anything. I'm trying to get it running before tomorrow night so that I can take it to the 'Boro cruise in, unfortunately I have to work til 5, so I hope David can finish it for me. If you are any good with 1st gens, let me know, I need the help as I am a retard with carbs.

sure....
DISCALIMER: I Give this info only to use as an example of ways some people get around emmissions laws in your local county (cough) I DO NOT RECOMEND OR ENDORSE this. (yes i do)
STEP 1) You must have at least 1 Car that WILL pass emmisions
STEP 2) Tranfer the tags off the car that will pass onto the RX7
STEP 3) Go back the next day and get tags on the car that will pass...
TA-DA!!! You have another year of driving the 7 it costs about $15 more then just doing tags legally. If they ask why you just say the other car broke down.. Magically it got fixed..It's legal and works like a charm.....
I transfer tags from my Blazer or my wifes ALero if I have problems....

Damn... you got me on step 1!
Somebody from the SE forum was telling me that (at least 5 years ago) if you went to the emissions test place, and show the guy receipts exceeding $500, he'll automatically pass you (or exempt you, for that matter). Supposedly this is something they don't advertise. Do you know anything about this?
