Dude, my blood type is A+. I can't give you a kidney, but I donated blood today in your honor.
Take care of your wife and take care of yourself, too. You need to stay strong and in control.

Thoughts, hopes, prayers, and best wishes your way from a fellow Rotary owner. Tough times bring learning, and it's written that "you're only given as much as you can handle" - so you and your wife will come out stronger than you went in to the situation. I'm engaged to be married and thought of my fiance and I going through a similar situation. It must be hard, but keep on pushing through.
Best of luck, it's a shame the others didn't pull through for you. But if it's any consolation it sounds like quite a few people are getting the word out which at the very least helps bring some hope.

Update: So she was transferred to a new transplant facility do to insurance reasons. This new place participates in what's called "the paired donors program" which basically allows anyone who's not a match with her, but wants to donate to her to come forward & get tested to see if they are in good enough health to donate. They then begin a chain of transplants with couples who have donors that aren't a match as well {basically swap them around so everyone get's a matching one}.
I got tested 2 months ago & was told I was a bit over weight & pre diabetic. I went on a strict diet & basically stopped all sugars. 20lbs later I'm @ a good weight & the symptoms of the diabetes are gone. We go in 2 weeks to fill out all the consent forms & then it's a waiting game, should be no more than 6 months as oppose to 6yrs...
