My SA won't run...
It's been sitting awhile. I did a catch test for the fuel pump and it put out about
1 and 1/4 quarts which I think is fine. Anyway, it turns over for about 7-8 seconds then fires off with the choke on. I have to push the choke in a bit as the idle is waaay too high, but after a few minutes the choke goes off and it won't run. I can add fuel directly to the carb and it idles fine. Anyway, right now the air pump is not running, (no belt) and the vent lines for the fuel tank are disconnected. I've never had this car running, so any ideas would be really appreciated. High rpm is fine...a few misses, but not bad.
Thanks a bunch!

I'll tell you what I would do in this case, and what I did when I had my 79. You need to rebuild the carb as best as you can, and this will take care of alot of problems. Make sure the needles are working good after you get it together too. Good luck, you have alot to learn on your own.
