The ohm range is listed in the 85 FSM, Sec. 15, p. 19. I have yet to find an aftermarket sender that matches Mazda's ohm range and I looked pretty much everywhere. You can find senders that match the ohm ranges for the Big 3, but not for imports. I finally ended up going with an AutoMeter sender and gauge, replacing the stock sender and gauge entirely.

I don't know what's up with radiator shops in TX but the last tank I had boiled cost me 40 bucks and a quart of sealer was 20. I can buy a full gallon of Red Cote tank sealer for 60 and that's enough product to seal 3-4 medium sized tanks. I generally spend around 100 total to have a tank boiled, including purchasing the rest of the materials needed to DIY refurbish the tank inside and out.

Sounds like you finally settled on the kit Eastwoods sells, which will work fine.

Only replacement option for the sender that I know of is OEM, either through the dealer , MazdaTrix or Racing Beat.

I use tape to cover the hole, you might try duct tape and see if that holds up to the chemicals.

I am indeed using duct tape, i suppose it is working half ***. I am trying to decide if i want to put a new fuel guage... out of curiosity, did you put your in the dash?

So, the letting chemicals in the tank soak and pouring them out and repeating process...... pretty much sucks, as well as the boiling the tank idea, so i have started my own plan. I am completely sure that I have the knowledge to cut the tank in half (top and bottom), clean it myself, and weld it back together. I have already cut it, and just finished cleaning it. I am going seal it tomorrow, then weld it back together. I am taking pictures of the entire process. The tank will be basically brand new on the inside. The only difference in the tank will be the fact that there is a new bead where i welded it back together :-) Ill show you pictures... and let me know what yall think about this new way of doing the tanks!
