Nah its all pretty straight foward, rip apart your lights, cut some pieces, glue them in.

I actually doubled up the material on each section, it looks alot brighter and whiter with each piece doubled.

BTW thanks

legally it can go so long as you add auxiliary red rear reflectors

Yup. but don't tell anyone, i dont and have had these tail lights for about 2 years and have never ONCE been pulled over.

I even was without a front license plate for 4 months. And a loud exhaust. I'm just lucky i guess.

Now you've done it iotus! You just jynxed yourself. I bet every cop in the US will be after you!

Seriously though, they look great. I'm thinking about doing this with my circle stop light mod (no documentation yet). This would go great with my lights.

I would have guessed that you bought them off of ioTus.

Not to bad though.

Nah I didnt even know Iotus sold or had a write up on them until I made this thread, I had some previous experience with customizing the tail lights in '99 when I customized the tail lights on my 84 rx7.

I also doubled up the plastic to give the tail lights a brighter whiter less see through apearance.

I did my side markers, and front markers as well but I am waiting for my new high speed buffer (smoked commuter on last one) until I will be taking any new pics of the car with everything done.
I think with my new buffer I will rip it apart and break in the brushes and put some comm drops in it first to try to prevent welding my brushes to my commuter again, or just use a green cut wheel instead of a black cut wheel.

What did you use for the clear lense? Was it hard to do, and could you tell me how? Thanks.

D Roch read my post up there i put up a link to my tutorial on how to make them.

I'm thinking of doing my next set by painting the inner fixture white instead of chrome, this way it will be brighter on the outside.

What do you guys think?

I think it will look brighter with the lights OFF,
but will not reflect enough red light with the lights ON.

Chrome paint, Aluminum Foil, or aluminum A/C duct tape
is the only way to go.

Those tires wear out really fast, must be soft or my driving is extreme because they didn't last 6 months on my gs with 15x7 wheels. $ 260.00 dollors shot. this time i'm going to try some comp T/A's
