Or dye the vynil part balck instead. Cant decide which would look better.
Hmm- a black dye on the door panel cloth... that's a pretty sharp idea! I wonder what it would look like if the seat cloth was also dyed black, between the vinyl piping.. Maybe too much, but with it would tie into a nice scheme, especially with a black console. It might look pretty damn sharp and not too hard to do..

(Could I get a photoshop for a brotha?! )

Yeah I agree on the factory interior scheme. The gray interiors have the best contrast (factory) out there. It would have been nice had they worked on the burgundy and browns just a wee bit better.

If you have clean burgandy parts, put them on ebay! Believe it or not, burgandy brings in big $$$ on ebay. Brown does as well!

Tom: By all means use the idea IMHO it looks best when you do the centre console + speaker joystick plate/change dish + gauge surround all the same colour to match the exterior. In my case I had a stock black exterior, and brought it inside on those bits. The clearcoat gve it a black lacquer look (similar to fine Japanese wood items! The RX-8 bits of similar finish draw from the same likeness)

It especially looks good with a black/burgundy shifter boot, making a two-tone interior that's tasteful and avoids the 5-years-later 'what was I thinking?' moment.
The stuff Manntis is referring to is called Vinylkote, and you can order it from a company in Toronto called Parasol. Website is www.parasolinc.com After two years this stuff still looks very good. The only parts that seem to be wearing off are the shift ****, e-brake handle and the inside fold of the shift boot. But a black aftermarket shift boot and matching black **** can be easily swapped in, as can a black e-brake handle.

Yeah, the Momo wheel makes all the difference. I have the "Race" in my Miata & the "Course" in my 240Z. Dino wood in my 7. nothing like the feel of fine Italian leather between you & your machine.

He must have an earlier combo switch on there, maybe 81-83.

THat is the same color I am painting mine. Already painted the engine bay, looks great. I am sticking with the original 82-83 brown and adding black/or grey to the interior. Of course, I will have a shop do the interior for me.
