My new exhaust!

Well, I finally got around to putting on the ol RB header yesterday, I am rather excited. I ran 2.25" tubing back to a cheap flowthrough fart can muffler...Which I think actually sounds prety good.
I strapped the ol camera in tonight and went out for a little cruise, Its a crappy video..but what do you peeps think of the exhaust note? (the video really doesnt do it justice..this setup is LOUUUD!)
Ill post up some pictures tommorow when its light out!

Heres the video:

The tail end got a little loose in third on the first in car run...thats why it sounds a bit funny, I had to ease up a bit.
Apologies for the bad editing skills and that the night-time video wasnt better.

Geez what kinda mods did u do to the engine to get it to loose traction in third? Was it wet or something? Sounds pretty nice though. Loud but nice IMO.

Sounds good gen1! I bought a parts car and it has a beat up header with a 2.5 straight pipe. I haven't got around to it yet. I've been doing a full tune up on both my 7's and once that's done I'll swap in the exhaust.

Yah, I guess I really couldnt expect this to be anything but loud....

Onnadese:

Through 2.25" pipe to this:

Haha, Im feelin it at the moment...
However it sounds like an all out race car, and will probably end up scoring me a ticket.
Im already thinking about how to quiet it down....

Well, that exhaust was short lived. I managed to keep myself from getting a ticket thus far though.

I gave in last week and ordered this:

Time to go back at it!!!
I know the neighbours will thank me...the other night this lady yelled out her window "are you gonna get a damn muffler soon?"
HAHAHA!

Borla will last, but Magnaflow sounds soooo much better. I finally got the magnaflows on my true dual setup on my 82 and it sounds amazing. Not too loud (at least IMO) but a very unique tone, and not too high pitched. Its actually quite deep.

My system is a pacesetter header with the collector cut off and a dual pipe flange welded on, to 2 2" pipes all the way back under the axle to 2 5x8 18" long magnaflows, one out each side of the bumper. I'll have to get a vid of it tomorrow. I tell yah, it is very unique sounding. Some probably won't like it, but I LOVE it. But I probably will add a 14" long 4" round magnaflow on each pipe to quiet it down a little more and remove some of the raspyness that is still there.

I got my RB Roadace header on the other day and fired her up with just the header and man was that loud but oh so sexy LOL The next day I decided to take a little trip to the 7-11 down the street with just the header, couldn't make it past 2.5K, my ears wouldn't allow it LOL On a side note though my FB chirps the tires in 3rd pretty well when it had just the RB muffler on, the RB clutch, and just running single belt. Once I attatch the the system all together with the header to the RB muffler we'll see how she grabs
