my new in-dash tach (pics)

Okay...let me start off by saying that I'm not done. I messed up cutting the gauge cluster early on so I ended up just cutting the **** out of it so I could just slap in in there to test it out. I need to pull the cluster on the parts car and start over.....but heres a look at what it will look like (sorry about the flash):

I got the tach on eBay for cheap....so far it works great:

no offense but that looks sick the way it was put in. you should have bought a tach half the size.

Good Price.

What do you think of the tach in general? What settings did you make on it for it to work? where did you connect it? What do you think of the shift light?
I need to find something as I can not see the one in the dash at night and have taken my engine higher than I wanted because of it.

so far the tach works great, no problems with general operation or the shift light. There was no need to hook up the aux shift light...the small LED by the zero is very bright by itself. I basicaly opened up the stock cluster and trimmed anything I had to get it in, then wired the tach as instructed...it was very simple. The guts of the new tach are very compact which made it easy.

I tried to cut up the spare cluster bezel but I messed that one up to...Anyone got a spare cluster?

Karism, yours looks great!
