My New Addiction

I am 18 and have been wanting to get a performance import since i got my license 2 years ago. After being raised up around old school muscle, I still found it amazing how an engine with such small displacement can make so much power compared to other cars. After deciding on a honda, switching to nissan, and wanting a new wrx a great deal came along involving an 85 gsl-se... I gathered all the info I could on rotarys and bought the car for 1500. 111,000 miles, prestige interior, but in need of a paint job, I have found the car I have been looking for.

82transam is right..... they'll have ya for life. My first car, way back in 81, was a 76 Mazda Cosmo. I loved that car! Since that time I've had many many different German and Japanese boingers but I never lost the itch for a rotary. My reciently aquired 85 RX-7 has finally scratched that itch again. Rotary mazda's are fun to look at, fun to drive and fun to work on. Damn are they fun! Congrats on your new addiction!

Congrats and welcome. Like the others have shown, it's an addiction. I've just bought my second one in ~6 months, though only for parts for my other one so I don't have to keep running to the boneyard since Autozone and every other parts car store doesn't carry those little pieces one needs to pass safety inspections. Hope your state doesn't have that, it's a pain!

Congrats! You'll love it. I just bought my '84 GSL-SE in what was the steal deal of the millenium! It is garage kept with 101,000 miles on it. Everything is in mint condition, exterior, interior, etc. Only one owner. Bought it from her for $300! I offered her $500 (thinking that was an insult) and she said that was way too high. I have a great car now.
