Is my motor ported?

I bought a streetported motor. Is there a way to tell if its ported besides opening it or installing it?

Hard to tell, get some close up pics of the ports with good lighting.

if its streetported the runner will be the same as the port opening . If not the runner will get smaller then the port opening as you look down it. it ard to tell by the picture once you post a clearer one it will be easyer to look at

Stick your finger in the intake ports, it thier smooth, it's probably ported, the exhaust looks stock.

How does the exhaust sound, it will have a lumbyer idle. When you look inside the intake ports you should c a bigger opening at the end

as said, use your finger to check the surface of the intake runners. be sure to feel way into the bowl, because there are a few people that will focus work in the bowl and leave the runners with the stock flash. it's rare, but ...

many people have different styles of porting. some people make the runner completely uniform, some maintain a venturi. besides, you're not necessarily going to see the venturi if there is one.

more often than not, a streetport's got to be pretty big to significantly affect idle. you can usually avert this by raising the idle speed a bit. the badass "BRAP-BRAP"-style idles come with bridges and peripherals.

Well I have a stockport 12a in my car right now, but I just bought this motor and wanted to put it in. I'm trying to turbo my Rx7.

Right now I have an S4 Turbo, a 12a<->13b exhaust manifold adapter, a boost prepped nikki, a Volvo Intercooler, Mallory 4309FPR, and a Walbro255lph. I need to finish getting parts but I wanted to put this motor in.

The fact I got it (ported motor) with the stock exhaust manifold and carb made me a little weary of it it's streetported.

You're in CA, I wouldn't expect anything other than stock exhaust to pass emissions.
