my interior lights are flashing
here is the deal.
no exterior lights, dashlights work but they flash when i turn on the hazards( which don't work on the outside of the car) or use the the turn signals.
this is confusing... help!

I had a similar problem, bet it's corroded grounds and/or corroded bulb sockets. Especially check the side marker lights, those sockets get crappy. Clean these up, also check the grounds under the hood, and one in the back under the hatch next to the light.

I agree. Bad grounds. Could also be inadequate power...
If you haven't recently had the alternator or battery out, I suggest the following...
Disconnect the battery. Clean the terminals with a wire brush or knife. Use the felt anti corrosive rings or some spray on protectant. Alternatively, a thin coating of grease, after the terminals are on the battery works well...
Do the same for the main terminal on the back of the alternator. (The screw on, big one.)
Also, remove the alternator and clean the area where it bolts to the rest of the engine. This improves it's ground connection...
Remember.. nothing works properly if it has inadequate power... Start there before troubleshooting the device itself. Should that fail, clean the sockets well, and all connectors between.
