My goodies have arrived...finally.

Hello

Finally the 50mm throttle bodies, intake manifold and lightened flywheel have arrived for my 4 port bridge-port project. And I have to say it all looks awesome. Can't wait for the engine to get back from the builder now so I can throw a megasquirt on here and see how she goes .

Enjoy the pics

Hehe maybe one day in the distant future. But for now I think this will be enough power for me. Have work to do on the rest of car too.

ITB's were about $700US. No one lightened my flywheel I bought a whole new one. I guess lightened was the wrong I should rather have said a lightweight flywheel rather.

Looks like the flywheel works with 215mm and 225mm.

Check out this 215mm-only light steel flywheel to see what I'm talking about.

The engine that i'm having rebuilt is a series 4 13b Turbo that i'm going to have bridge-ported and run N/A . It's an extensive rebuild (all seals and bearings, lapped irons, carbon race apex seals, new improved oil pump etc. etc.) . So i'm going to be using the injectors off the turbo motor. They are 550cc each and im running two of them per throttle body. I'm hoping its enough. From the calculations i've done they should be good for 200 Killowatts (267 BHP at the flywheel) at 85% Duty cycle which is alright. I'll see how it goes and upgrade them if I have to but i'm already spending a lot on the car, you know how it is . Perhaps i'll get some 720cc's later if I see that I can still squeeze more out of the motor. I'm itching to do this now,I think ill go and bug my engine builder this weekend and see how things are going .

Oh and heres a picture of the car its going in:

hehe yeah...the car actually originally had a 12A. (yes I know it has gsl-se wheels and disks all round, but we have strange models here in South Africa. Mine looks like a gsl-se but came with a 12A and no LSD.) But the previous owner blew the 12a after trying nitrous on it. So he replaced the motor with a series 4 turbo motor and adapted the 12A intake manifold to fit. So its a series 4 turbo with 12A nikki carb on it at the moment. Although this is a rather strange setup it works out quite well for me now seeing as the engine im swapping into the car is also a series 4 turbo so it will drop in nice and easy.
