my friend the fool

Alright... About a year ago my friend bought a Turbo 2 Rx-7 for anround 2000 bucks. Now what happened is that when he drove it he would have to add more oil every three days (at least.) Anyways, he got tired of the oil needing to be changed and such, so he junked the car and recently bought himself an 84 GSL-SE, and the strange thing is... he's having to add oil to the car every week or so because it burns it like crazy... I never had that porblem with my car before So I wanted to know if my friend just cant drive RX-7s or if this has happened to others and how is it fixed?

Wow, did he put the drain plug back in it? LOL

Really though, does he have the habit of using any type of fuel additives or something? Maybe something in his routine is ruining the motor. Tell him to buy a ford...

Is he blowing smoke at start up or when its running ? Has he checked the oil-cooler lines and the bosses on the oil cooler for cracks? Is his oil pan properly tourqued down? Does his OMP leak? just some things to check out.

No... It's not me... And yes, when the car fires up loads of smoke fly around the car, Although sometime it just doesn't happen, like he'll fire it up and the car will be fine... However next time he starts his car... He gets too breathe a mouthful of smoke

My cars the same, the longer it sits, the more it smokes. Oil's leakin into the chambers and it burns off when you start it. It needs to be rebuilt
