the 80 has a 5 digit speedometer (+10ths of mile) - thus make sure its not already turned over at least once - otherwise 80K is very low mileage for an 80

Just so you know, that little oil leak (if it is beside the mazda 12a sig on the engine) that makes a little puddle is the engine's dowel pin (holds the engine together) is leaking.
Only way to fix it, is a rebuild.

one of my old 7's was like that and it drove fine except for extra oil consumption, but results may vary.

Good luck.

I still have my 1st, 1st gen.! I bought it my senior year in high school(88') Ok I am an old fart compared to most in this forum. It is an 84'GSL, I paid $7k for it then, it had 64k on it!

You will either love the car or hate it, I obveously loved mine. I have had 3other 1st gens. and 2 turbo 2s. I still have kept my original! I did sell it once but found it for sale on the Parts Trader and bought it back! Here is the new phase my car is going to.
