My first RX-7, killer deal... (pics)

Hi, I've been hovering around this site for a while now, never owned an RX-7, but always loved them. So I jumped at the chance to pic up this one for $500 can. It needs some love, brakes, e-brake cable, choke cable, muffler, and some minor aesthetic touches. But, it was repainted a couple years ago, rebuilt 12a the same year, so Im laughing. Anyway, I thought I would post some pics of what will be consuming all of my time and money for the next few weeks...

Ill be losing this horrible e-brake handle...

looks pretty much like what my car is going to except ive shaved the side lights off it, pretty good deal for 500 bucks. Nice project car!

And I should say, pay some attention to the engine bay, removed the rats nest, cold start assist, hot start assit, all the pollution control stuff (if you can go emissionless where you live of course) it will clean the engine bay right up!

looks good. as for the e-brake handle, it would look better if it and the boot were black instead of red.

Congrats. You beat me by about 500 bucks on my 85 GSL-SE. I have some of the same things to do, some brake work, some general clean up. Your paint looks better than mine though.
