luiml73 03-22-06 10:11 PM

Thanks fellas, most of the stuff was bought on ebay for pretty cheap. Fittings and Steel braided lines coast an arm and a leg though.

dvls-7 03-22-06 10:18 PM

Rained all day today. I'll try again tomorrow if the weather permits.

clean85owner 03-23-06 08:34 PM

Man, from just looking at the block with the intake on it, it never looked like it would have fit under the hood! It's a great fit, though, man.

Beautiful work. Best of luck!

I can't believe you have had that motor built for a year and looking like that. Even though my widebody build took me 9 months, I don't think I would have the patience looking at that engine bay and and not getting it finished and running, finances be damned.

Definately a well thought out and quality build. Good luck in fireing it up.

project 88 gxl 03-23-06 09:30 PM

OMG how long did it take you to polish those things?? they look better than those tits on your avatar. now that's pretty good. major props...

Waiting has'nt been easy, but I'm glad I took the time and did it right. I'm just hoping I built the motor correctly so it lasts a long time.

Project 88..... I started doing the polishing myself, but soon realized it was'nt as easy as ZI thought so i took it to an old Cuban man to finsh the job.

Alex Rodriguez 03-26-06 07:37 PM

was it easy to rebuild what did you use as refrence bro...i am thinking of rebuilding mines...how long did it take you

Arockrx7 03-26-06 07:45 PM

he said he watched the attkins video about 20 times.

luiml73 03-26-06 08:08 PM

Ladies and Gentlemen we are clear for take off:D

At exactly 4:23PM my car showed it's first signs of life. She started right up and smoked like a mother for a few minutes. I did'nt go for a drive because my secondary fuel rail has a small leak where it was welded. As soon as I reweld it tomorrow, I'll go for a spin so I can try out the Rack and Pinion:D Next week it's going to my tuner for a simple tune while I break in the motor, and then I'll go for a real tune.

Thanks for all the support fellas. it's been about 1 year since last time I drove her and I can't wait to get behind the wheel.

Here are a few pics I took today.

EL NENE 7.......... I watched the Atkins video every night on my Laptop for 1 month prior to the rebuild. I also had a friend with me who has rebuilt plenty of motors watching every move I made just incase I screwed up.
