If it was originally sold in Cali see if the mechanic can change some of the emission stuff up without it failing the inspection when you get the motor built. Sorry so late, but I just saw this post...GORGEOUS car!!! Wish mine was that good. I got mine for $1100 in great running condition, but your interior is SO much better than mine!!! And I thought my interior was good. Yours looks brand new. Be VERY careful! I know I'm a noob to FB's, but I've heard they can get squirly real easy. If you lost this car in an accident(we pray against that!) you'll cry about it later(and so will we). Cause like everyone that owns an FB will tell you, FB's in that condition are nearly impossible to come by!!! Treasure that jewel man! Congrats.
Thanks for the compliments. Don't worry, i take great care of her

Nice car, I'm looking at a 1983 rx7 base model in the same condition, original blue paint, very nice with original stickers, nice original interior with no dash cracks, everything works and the motor is perfect. Any idea what I should have to give for it? I see you're in Ca. I'm in LA, do you have a good mechanic to do a serious check over? The original owner has taken very good care of it, always in LA with blue plates, purcheased in Santa Monica. Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the compliment. It depends if there is a lot of rust and how well it runs and mechanical wise. I would say probably around 2,500 for it if it is what you say it is. Possibly 3,000, but pics always help. Check for rust behind the storage bins, wheel wells, and underbody. Just check for rust everywhere( it hurts if you get a lot of rust). I got the car in cali, but i live in las vegas. Start a new thread andabout the 7 you want and ask some other gugys what they think it should be worth. Good luck

What are the symptoms of the blown seal? Maybe you can apply the Temporary Water Seal fix while you await a rebuild.

Car looks good.

My fine 85GSL with 85k wouldn't go for $1900 a few months ago. So now I'll raise the price on eBay. The interior is so clean it still smells like a new car.
