I remember reading that. I also just tested an FC leading coil and stock ignitor connected to my MegaSquirt and the resulting sparks were very nice looking. Dwell and amperage were high but stable. I'd really like to compare them side by side on a running engine some day. It's entirely possible the MSD prefers a coil designed for CDI input rather than the kettering input the FC coil was designed for. I'd still like to compare an MSD brand DIS coil to an FC leading coil.

 

Well, wackyracer, if you have a bracket setup for sale that looks like that, I'll buy one. I don't wanna mess with making one myself..

 

very nice, but I'm trying to get the word out that a dis coil is soo much better than running two coils. I've felt the bennifit.
