My Car is smoking when it starts

I just bought an 83 RX-7 GSL. It is in great shape. However, it started smoking under the right tire area when I choked it this morning. Is that a normal accurance on a 1st gen. It did it on Saturday morning too. Any suggestions on what the problem might be?

if its just during startup then yes, its normal.

Welcome to the forum dpugh! Yeah, as the others have said, this is normal. If you have a little time, grab a cup of coffee or a beer, pull up a chair and read Felix's Own General Rotary Engine FAQ. There's a lotta good info there including the startup smoke issue. Enjoy your new rex!
