My car is running again
Here's what happened. Last friday night I drove my car up on a autotransport/trailer from uhaul to prepare for my journey from Jacksonville, NC to Rhode Island. The next morning I said goodbye to the Marine Corps and made my way north, and as I was heading north the weather was getting worse and worse. The more I went to the north the colder it got and it started to snow and whatnot, but I finally made it to my folk's house that evening. The next morning I went to drive the car off of the trailer and it wouldn't start. After that I looked at everything from the fuel pump and filter to the spark plugs and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't start. I finally noticed that there was coolant pooled on my intake manifold and figured that my makeshift intake manifold gasket with the quarters did not hold up in the extreme cold. So I took that off and replaced it with the gasket and o-rings that I had bought from victoria british and poured some oil down the intake and VOILA!! the runs like a champ again. It took my dumbass 5 days to figure it out, but hey, I got the thing running. Just had to let you guys know.
Oh and by the way the weather didn't help at all.
