Cool My Car Had Its 100,000 Mile Birthday!!

Yeah, so I finally got over 100,000 miles on "Lucky" today. My Dad said I never would when I first started work on her way back when. Guess I proved him wrong . The engine has about 180K on it though, but the chasis is just over the 100K mark now. Anyway, I know its kinda silly, but I just thought I would share .

Nice! My SA hit the 100k miles mark just before I bought it. The neat thing is, you know that you've got a lot more mileage left in the car, because we've seen the 1st gen's last a long time.

Good going. Mine is about to hit it's 200K b-day, and another one here hit it's 300K b-day (all original, never rebuilt) a little while back.

New spark plugs, a full tank of gas, an oil change, a bath, full interior cleaning, and tender love and car in general . Odly enough I had done all that earlier that day not even thinking about it turning over, but then when it did, it made me feel good to know that I take such good care of her even without special purpose .

Yeah, well as I said, this engine has more like 180K on it, but if the engine does go, its just an excuse for me to get the 13BT put in her sooner and continue the love even longer .

Oh, and I was thinking about it the other night before I went to bed (I always think about my car before going to sleep, doesnt everyone? ), and I was thinking that after I get a 13BT put in her, it would be time to change or "upgrade" the license plate frame. I was thinking something along the lines of "Mazda RX-7, the Corvette killer" to replace the current "Mazda RX-7, the Honda killer". What do you think?

~T.J.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, maybe I should aim my sights a little higher than just "the Corvette killer". I can already keep up with most stock 'vettes from the 80s as it is, and I can actually pull a little on the 'verts from the 80s. Hmm...

Haha, I plan on doing the 13B right too, so I guess I could set my sights on the Vipers . I want mid 12s when Im done, so I guess I could even out run some production Ferraris . I think that I could honestly say I would have the fastest car in my hometown... You gotta love that feeling .
