my best story yet
I'm not a great storyteller but I'll try.
I've been working on getting an '85 up an running. The last inspection was in '00 and the last owner never even started the engine. Anyway the engine is finally going well enough to test the tranny. So we jacked up the back end and my dad took it through the gears.
Now, I live in the country so most stuff is pretty spaced out and usually no one ever complains about stuff. But today someone called to complain about the noise. The kicker was who: the guys at the stone quarry (funny by itself)...located a mile away!
I guess this means the mufflers are shot...

A stone quarry complaining about noise
Best one I have heard in quite a while, seeing as to how quarries are notorious for the excess noise, specially on blast days.

No cops. Just a phone call from the stone quarry saying "Hey keep it down"
Meanwhile, my neighbors are apparently desensitized to all the noises, smells, and often large amounts of smoke because they never mention it.
