My 4port 13B is done.
Okay rotorheads, I finally closed up my 4port 13B and the build is done. I'm just waiting for my flywheel gear stop so I can torque the flywheel down and in she goes. By the way I used and street ported(mild) 12A irons, 79 mid plate(tall intake port) and 85 GSL-SE rotors and housings. This will be fueled by a Dellorto 48. The lower RB manifold was also port matched to the intakes on the irons. Are there any special break in tricks for an overhauled rotary? HP guesstimate anyone?
Thanks, Ed

Sounds very cool! I've been on and off the fence about doing a 4port 13B swap with my GSL. I'm anxious to hear your results.
(Sorry- no HP guesstimate from me!)

Ok I'll guess, Hmmmm.... I'd say 160-180rwhp, somehere in there.
As far as break in goes I say take it easy for the first 500mi, then anything goes. there are a million different schools of thought on this, but that's how I did mine (I was very impatiant)

on my build, i kept the revs under 4k for the first 1000 miles. but didn't really start getting on it hard til after 1500 miles. by the time i made it to the strip, i'd done put 8500 on it. i'd guess the hp at the fw would be in the neighborhood of around 220. all i know it mine does 9.38 1/8th mile which i think calculates to about 14.5 1/4 mile. i have over 18,000 miles on it now and i want to go back to the strip and try for a better time.

Get a 3/4" heater hose. Slide that over the boss that the oil filter threads onto. Pour 1 quart of oil in there, that'll fill the bearings, rotor, and e-shaft with oil and PRELUBE it.
Make sure oil lines and cooler are full of oil.
Then crank for oil pressure.

Unless it is streetported, I doubt you'd be getting 160 to the ground. My motor is pretty much the same as your but with a mild streetport. It was quoted at 215fhp; which is about 175whp. Hopefully, you will be in the neighborhood of 150whp. Have fun with the car, man!

Yeah its streetported. I used the RB templates. I did not go crazy on the exhaust port though. I could have gone a lot bigger but decided to keep it mild. Hopefully the motor will be in by the end of the month so I can break it in and post some numbers for you guys.
