Welcome to the forum. You can do a search on rats nest removal, and that will answer a lot of your questions about the colored things on the top of the engine.

By the way I don't so much dislike the color of the car,but coupled with the marron interior it is just wrong.

Car looks good, its a mix between a bee and a McDonald's sign.

Yellow does look good though.

Yellow is not one of my favorite colors. That was until I had a 79 in the shop a couple of weeks ago with a newer stock color repaint. Beautiful car. Mint inside and out. It did have the tan interior though which goes much better with the yellow.

Your car looks good. If you want to keep the ac and cruise control, you may want to rethink removing all of the vacuum solinoids

I wasn't going to say anything about that color at first but its not your fault . Welcome to the forum.

And I dont think having that air filter in the end of the intake snorkle is helping anything. If you have the regular air filter that goes under the blue cover I would suggest using that.

Yhe the original air filter was gone so I had to put something in its place im making an intake box that goes to the front of the hood I saw it on a .PDF that I downloaded it was racing prep manual I think so im in the process of fabricating... and its taking longet then I thought because of my great 50+ hours a week job.

Im thinking of going Matte black later but for now Im looking for a 12a that I can pick up cheap rebuild cause I need a daily driver right now.. also its leaking oil from the front cover I think and from the oil O ring but I can live with that cause it still drives great.

also I need to know is there anywhere I can pick up the anti rattle spring or what ever its called for the back brakes cause its ratteling like **** I did i temp fix with silicone by glueing the brake pad to the caliper it stopped but its starting to rattle again.

and cause im writing all the problems I also need new springs and shocks my car needs stuff lol

but thanks for all the reply's

Yep. All Vacuum solenoids. If you have to deal with emissions you can't take it off. But if you don't need that and the like said of A/C and cruise control or whatever your's happen to be hooked to go right ahead. Pretty nice car though. Kinda reminds me of what one of my friends said about his Neon,"I'm gonna put racing stripes on it" "Why?" "So I can race. Duh" My friends are stupid LOL
