Yes sir, cant wait to get this thing running.
Worst thing is that I will need to rip out the 6-port and mangled wireing harness and start all over, sigh

Thinking bout building an engine test stand for it. And all the other engines I have yet to build.

Hey, that's like me. I just need a bellhousing, starter, oil and water cooling whatevers and a 12A+13B compatible exhaust manifold+mini system.

If my 6 port doesn't work, I'll rip it out and go with a tried and true 4 port.

Nice work! Sux about the turbo...

Just curious, has anyone ever tried one of these, or is it too tall to not clear the hood?

Indeed it is, listed on eBay as a "turbo bonnet", available in right or left hand feed. I don't know if the elbow is too high to cause probs with the hood or not.

Here it is, but the auction is over. I have seen these listed many times, perhaps by the same guy?

it looks cool , if it comes up again and its not too much for you to spend to test out. i would say go for it.if it doesn't clear try welding a different elbow on.

Rotary shack makes some real nice turbo hats and they dont cost much more than that auction you listed.... but let me tell you from personal experience... in the long run you save money anyway through expert guidance and customer support. You can see the level of experience through 680RWHP12A's suggestions...

But getting back to the original thread, Kim did you eliminate the accelerator pump?

I was looking at the pic of the carb and I dont see the linkage at the bottom that pushes the accelerator pump diaphram. I know my mikuni has it... however It may very well be that it is just how your carb is made?

Ahh like that.
The OER has an internal piston style acc.pump, but with an external top mounted adjustment screw, pretty trick.
Same goes with the float, also externally adjustable.

Damn, have not been on the forum for quite some time.
Well I guess this deserves an update.
The motor ended up in my friends racecar and did good in N/A trim with a modified Nikki. I tore it apart recently, measured up the housings - they are still great, no flaking or leaks.
*Fresh seals ordered.
*30mm tap/die ordered
*Weber modified and ready to snore
*Semi pp in the making 😀
*Aluminimum flywheel and threefork
