MAZDATRIX has got a nice one. I have it and it performs and sounds nice. I also removed the first pre-silencer.

My '83 12a parts car has a cavalier muffler zap-strapped where the stock one goes. God knows why the straps don't melt!

Putting a Mazda Motor Sports exhaust in the GSL-SE soon. Some of you guys have made good arguements for a less restrictive flow. My main concern is noise though.

Mazda Motorsports makes an exhaust? Cool! You'll have to post up some pics of that baby.

Believe it or not, my stock muffler actually rusted so bad the two pipes going into the muffler broke off!! I was driving down the road one day, and I heard this loud bang from the rear end, followed by the sound of something clattering around. I thought my damn wheel had fallen off!

Anyways, turned out my muffler was just hanging by the straps - I tied it up with a shitload of yellow rope and went on my way. 3 weeks later I had a full Racing Beat system

I have holes all over my exhaust and the chrome tips have been gone for a long time.
I need a new complete exhaust system.

Mine is kinda "El Cheapo" style and an example of what not to do...

RB Streetable Header (best purchase I ever made for My 7)
Dynomax Glasspack (as pre-silencer) 2.5
Flowtech Raptor Muffler 2.5

Both the Glasspack and Raptor have Burned out and I am now Public Enemy #1 in my neighborhood....

I will be replacing the Glasspack and Raptor with a Dynomax Hemi Super Turbo Muffler and ANOTHER super turbo at the back...Hopefully then I will be able to hear myself think....

this is perfect!
i'm kinda curious to know how the A'pex N1 will sound. i have most of my exhaust parts sitting in my garage now, i'm just waiting to get a job so i can get the mufflers. but i was curious to know if the A'pex mufflers are as quiet and mellow as the Racing Beat muffler. sound is an issue for me now (guess i'm getting old) but at the same time, if the RB unit does not flow as much as the A'pexi, then i'll sacrifice some sound for the flow.

i've got 2.25" aluminized pipes, my RB road race header and the flanges to adapt the outlet of the RB presilencer (which i still need to get) to my 2.25" pipes.

so anyone running an A'pex muffler, let me now how it sounds, eh?

I've got a Vibrant muffler, which burned up in about 2 weeks.... The car was so loud espically after i removed the cat, but now its quieted down Slighty.... I've got a Pacesetter header (haven't had any problems or regrets with it ) to a Brullen Presilencer and the Vibrant muffler. My advice don't buy no crappy muffler!

Still running the stock on my SE. It is showing signs of exterior rust, who knows what's inside though. I was looking at gettings something from RB myself but I am very concerned with the way it looks.

Looks was the main reason i went with a Vibrant on my SE... I don't like the look of the RB mufflers...

I got the racing beat dual presilencer setup with a bomz muffler ( copy of N1) With the silencer tip out it is nice and loud, sounds kind of raspy. With it in it is real quiet.

No, but alot of people use them on FDs and there exhaust is even hotter.

I am fairly shure its steel.

The exhaust isnt that hot by the time it gets to the rear muffler.
