hahahaha Yes, that is a pull starter off a snowblower attached to the alternator there. I attempted to attach it to the crank pulley but there wasnt room. The alternator will work just as well I wasnt even drinking when I thought of this, lol, thats the scary part. All in the name of weight reduction!!! hahaha

Oh man, you got to be kidding me, a pull start ROFLMAO. I'm also rewiring my car, I'm done with the inside (lost about 3lbs of wire & 20lbs of "un-needed stuff") I want to go ahead and do the engine bay but the weather doesn't want me to.
Have fun.
Have fun.

actually i havent finished wiring up the alternator quite yet, but we'll find out pretty soon. I can turn the motor pretty well with the pull starter... it remains to be seen if it will start though, lol

no, it will be attached properly when I feel like attaching it properly... but right now I can just pull start it and pull the pull starter piece right off, and throw it under my seat and go

dude, if you can actually start your car with it, you HAVE to get a video of that, and post it here! That would be hilarious to get out at the gas station and pop your hood to pull-start your car

kid takes a volleyball in the face and falls on her bum. As you can see by the arc of the ball it wasn't going very fast - just enough for slapstick comedy.

If that pull starter will actually start the car, I'll eat a bug. That cold air intake will work a hell of a lot better if you hacksaw the restrictive part of the air horn off the aircleaner housing, too. Personally, I'd be ashamed to post a pic showing my engine looking so corroded and filthy, but to each his own, eh?

Cleaner or not...
If you want weight reduction, try taking some purple stuff to that engine bay (don't let it soak too long or bye-bye aluminum). You have to have 10 pounds of sludge in there at least!
And yes - I'm speaking from personal experience... want to see the pics?
Before...
After
This was before removing the rats nest. Hell, this is the weekend that we killed it and did the tutorial, actually

And guess what, a 13 second car is plenty to kill the local ricers and embarass a few V8s. No cash + lots of time = having fun and doing what you can to make your crap cars faster

This car WILL hit 13s, stock port, NA, no nitrus. I'm doing this just to prove its possible. Just because I can. I'll bridge or PPort it some time in the future when I have some money to burn.
