MSD Coils vs. Stock Coils

Does anyone know the volts on the stock diamond coils. I want to upgrade to the MSD blaster 3 coils but hear that the stock coils are really good as it is.

Somebody must know.....

I know that the MSD coils produce 45,000 volts; but what about the stock ones?

I dont have no on hand experience with just the MSD coils but if you upgrade to DLIDFS, stock coils will do fine. In fact, I didnt notice a difference between stock and MSD blaster coils on a direct fire.

IM using the MSD coils. I havent really compaired them to the stock one, but the disadvantage about the msd ones is they have to be mounted upright

im using blaster 2 coils. i think you have to use special plug wires to use the blaster 3 coils

Actually, I have been running direct fire using a MSD 6A with dual blaster coils mounts horitzontally. It has been over 5 years with no problem. pix of my old engine. with the new engine, Im just running a stock NGK wires. Had a problem with a new magnecor but a stock NGK cured the problem

The blaster coils have been known to crap out and explode or something of that sort when mounted horizontally. I think wacky just got a set of good coils.

Coils do get weaker with age you know? Uh, no matter who made them. Just a concideration.

Too many people use stock components well after their use by date, complain they are inefficient, buy a pricey aftermarket component which works because its new, and so become a convert for life.

Until anyone can show me systematic failure from a particular brand of oil filter (nobody has, or can) I wont buy that sort of statement.

Gotta prove something sucks, before you can call something better.

Get the epoxy filled version, not the oil one.
