Typically with mostly city compared to highway traffic my son to and from School is now getting 23mpg. He was getting 17-18 prior to the full tune up.

I average about 350-400KM city driving per tank, and I fill at approximatley 1/4 tanks each time. Roughly 600KM/hwy filling at the same point. Keeping in mind I beat the hell out of my car pretty much non stop.

Hey man, mine is getting around 15 miles a gallon, and its horrible because my fuel gage broke a little while back and havent had time to get it fixed and i ran out of gas and had to get towed home, so in my opinion they are not gas friendly cars.

25 or so on the highway, about 17 in the city.

But, mine's not really stock, I've done a few things that help it. ^^

I believe RX-7 doctor was getting a consistent 28 MPG hwy and sometimes 29. I thought he started a thread on this in the past.

Get a vacuum gauge with the color bars over the numbers to help you maximize your mileage by fixing your driving habits. You'll soon learn about pumping losses.

Phil, if your buying an rx, don't do it because of great fuel economy since you won't get it. Your car will be especially hard on gas since you plan on swapping motors and your foot will likely never come off the floor.

I never bothered to keep track. I run premix, and 94 octane. I don't want to know what it costs me. lol Besides, I'm sure my driving habbits reflect in my fuel economy, and I don't exactly baby my car.

That sucks!! Trust me, I have had many tickets since I bought this car, and they never seem to just give me one. I usually get two or three at a time.
