mount ?

for those of you with a carter fuel pump and holley regulator... where is the best place to mount them?

and also, is there anyway to depressurise the gas tank so that gas does not spew out everywhere while i am doing this swap?

thanks.

yeah, put some hose on the end of some needle nose vice grips and pinch off the line from the tank. it sounds kinda shotty, but we do what we can

i totally had a brain fart. i just finished my 13B 4 port streetport and have to do the same thing(i'm using a holly red pump, though). years ago, grasshopper, on my se, i removed the plate/thingy where the factory pump was and made a new platform out of some sheetmetal and bolted the twin facet pumps to it, and then back into my car. they sucked and made a lot of noise when pressure backed up and then, when i got on it, it would suck the fuel so fast that it starved and couple of secs later the fuel magically revisited the thirsty dellorto. as for the regulator, i have the same (probably) holly and plan on making a mount from some more sheet metal and bolting it to the firewall using the drivers side bolt of the hood latch assembly. be sure to have a proper attachment for a gauge so you can dial in pressure. good luck

actually, i was initially going to use the ghetto no-gauge setup. yah, that is right. i still have not found a suitable gauge, so i figured that i would try without. just close up the regulator completely, and then slowely open it until i get the aprox. desired flow. it will not be exact, but should do for a short time period.
