Motor Trend Apr '82 Rx7 Avatar!
More Sunday morning reading for you. I remember somebody on the forum finding an intact Avatar earlier this year, wonder how the restoration is going.
^^^+1 ... I don't see how that price is justified... especially >20 years ago. The same price today can net you a base corvette, RX-8 + goodies, etc. I does anyone have a way to adjust that price for inflation?
Found one, http://www.westegg.com/inflation/infl.cgi
So, 45,000 in 1982 = $96248 in 2006 (the last year on the calculator.

Back then,if you gotta have it,then that was your car and youd have the only convertible RX-7 around. It turned an average, affordable sprots car into something a celebrity would consider buying, damn the price.
Nowadays.......Id just buy a used Vert.

I just signed the paperwork today to buy a Pacific Avatar car. It needs restoring so as soom asI can I will start a new thread with pics.
This one was a black 83 gsl originally and it seems like not all the cars were the same....or the articles are wrong. Motors were not smoggable so this was a problem.
Please post any stuff on these cars, cliff
