motor removel

motor removel

hey i got a cherry picker and im pullin my motor and the drivers side lower portion of the motor and trany wont come apart ne one no ape mans phone number or superman please help

as for the motor not coming out.

tranny mount, heater hose, clutch line.

could be a lot of things.

may be easier to take out the tranny and engine together and seperate them later. Haynes manual shows you how.

and i kinda have it half off how hard would it to be to have the tranny on stands and take that out to

When he is refering to "Ape Man" he is referring to a guy that works as a mechanic at RX7 Heaven in MN. The guy is a total grease ball. But please Rex86, keep to the topic!!

yes remove the starter... there is a little hidden bolt under it and it wont come apart with out them out.

Yes, but not if you're working alone. Then it's a really fun challenge to get the dang thing tilted enough to not get caught up on the lip of the firewall, while trying to pull it forward. It's even more fun when it starts to rain at that point, too.

Ape Man, please help us!!!!!!! Pour in the ATF and send up smoke signals or something!

As mentioned earlier, it sounds like your starters still bolted in. You cant take the two apart without it out.
