A few quick questions, i have this car in 81 RX, with the RB holley carb. now it is hard starting, but my questions are when i do get it started it runs great for about 10 minutes but then it starts to run ruff. what should i check. it sat for a while and it seems to flood real easy and my plugs get black fairly quick. thanks from a noob.

 

Probably a fuel delivery problem of some sorts. Could need some carb work possibly a rebuild if it has sat for a really long time everything could be gummed up. May need new fuel filter. If you have not drained the tank and are running old gas that could be a factor also. Also check your ignitions system start with the timing and then look at the ignitors, plug wires, plugs, and coils. Definately sounds like at the very least you are going to need new plugs.

Loading up is probably what others will tell you. An upgraded ignition system can help even if you don't do anything to the carb or fuel system.
