that looks like the chikara strut bars they sell for Hondas, except the mounting circle is different. And Chikara = crap.

But I guess it looks kinda cool, don't really know why anyone cares about the way their strut tower bar looks, but eh..

if you're getting one, get one that's solid welded, the screw-type can twist more than a welded one.

That brace looks very appealing for a show piece, but does not look like it can deliver the kind of rigidity that most people on this forum would be looking for.

If you look at the RB one i n th eabove post, it appears to be a solid piece. It also braces accross the fire wall. It is a much beeter engeneered piece of hardware.

If you want flash go with the one at the top of the the thred, if you want a well designed, and well built functional brace go RB

Yes,

but that damn Racing Beat one is just too freaking Huge!. Leaves little or no room to work with under the hood.

because it's so difficult to take it out when you want to work on it...

it's all about what makes it perform better.. be glad you don't have a Ferrari, k? Those are a pain to work on..

RB is a great unit... heavy though, plus being triangulated it bumps your car up into Mod classes in SCCA so I had mine custom made...if I knew someone who had switched out their strut tower brace to an aftermarket one from a 3rd gen I wouldve used that, the distance between the struts are almost the same

The shiny chrome was in garbage.

It's just rice crap, and is only something to glitter up your engine bay. They don't hold any rigidity function since they have so many twisting joints.

If you only care about looks, that the part for you, and there's about 2 million of them on Ebay.

If you want it to strengthen up the front end, buy a better solid piece.

Sorry, i'll never be happy. that i don't have a farrari.
You won't believe the difference after adding the bracing.the bracing i did may be 'ghetto'...round tubing
conecting the strut towers, then the towers to the firewall.in the rear round tubing again, connecting the body right over the rear wheels, then the top of the rear shocks is braced by 2 pieces of round tubing bolted to the body. i think it turned out good. and it works too.

http://www.mazdamotorsports.com adjustable bar shown below. Easy to take off, and doesn't get in the way. I think it was around $250, but am not sure.

It sure looks like a simple and effecient bar, and that threaded joint can be used to fit properly and even pre-load the strut bar. But I can bend it by hand.

THanks!

Oh and maybe if your a strong guy you can bend it at the joint, but think about where the forces are going to be under hard cornering (straight through the bar). I personally don't think Racing Beat's design is noticably more effective than a single bar going from strut top to top IMO (Most of the flex is in the camber direction of the stut towers).

I put one end of that black bar on the ground and pushed on the other end and it the bar bent. pushed straight thru the bar and that joint would be the weakest link, plus it's right in the center. to each their own.

no wheaties or red kryptonite.

the RB design triangulates with the firewall and is de bomb. Just a pain to work around.
