if a stock hood has no clearance problems and as long as the vents are not thicker
then the stock sub-structure on his hood, then strut bars are no problem. Jeez, if it takes as long as to sculpt the underside as it has the top it will be christmas or next year before you guys will be able to buy your toys. thats a long time and tons of **** can happen in that amount of time.. i'd say step-up the production while these guys are trying to throw you there dollors, D'arcy. could come in handy just as long as you come through on your end...your an honorable man and i think your word is good.. as long as hollywood hasn't rubbed off on you too bad,.. Lol

The delays have been mainly fit-and-finish... the top of the hood gets seen, and perfect symetry is a must. The underside is already 1/2 done and while smooth and sculpted, it's more functional than fancy.

great looking hood man, but one thing, if the water falls between the radiator and engine. Won't the belts get wet and slip?

Belts at that speed aren't really affected by rain, or you wouldn't see rally cars with big gaping holes in the hood over the engine.

okay, face it.. think about it, if the vents are open (cut) it doesn't matter if the car is sitting still or moving, water IS going to get in and on the engine more if it's moving. this is one of those times that function has a down side. water won't hurt anything besides if it rains take a rag put it in a plastic bag, roll it up and plug the vents. maybe create some foam rubber 'plugs',.. see easy fix.

Do FD owners with FEED hoods complain of rain ruining their engines?

look at the vents, the rain would blow over them if you were driving....Regardless, I'm getting this thing, and I want the mesh inserts too.

Can't be done. The buck has uncut foam, etc. on the underside that hit underhood components. The actual FRP or CF hood won't have all that bulk of course, so the 1st satisfactory one out of the mold will go on Carmen to show an on-the-car look
