More minor problems-O2 sensor and weird turn signal
I've got a couple more quick questions about my brand spankin new GSL-SE.
First is the oxygen sensor. Basically, I can't get the old one out. That ***** is IN there. I've tried soaking in WD-40, when that didn't work, I tried PB Blaster. I still can't get it to budge. I am using a ratchet with the appropriate O2 socket on it. I also tried Vise Grips...nothing has worked. I also tried making sure the car was fully hot, hoping the hot manifold's metal would expand ever so slightly and make it easier to remove the sensor, no good either. Any other ideas?
Secondly... my left turn signal doesn't work properly...sometimes. It will work fine for a little while, then it will flash very quickly and the front signal won't come on. Classic symptoms of a blown bulb, right? I replace the bulbs and it doesn't help. Odd thing though... after a day, it will start working properly again. Then stop working. Does the GSL-SE have some kind of flasher unit stuck in there that controls it that I can look at or replace? The Haynes manual is useless for this kind of information.

If the problem is only on one side, i.e. right or left, but not both, then it is probably a connector. The signals have pigtails that connect to the wire harness. Trace those down and check for corrosion. Check the bulb sockets themselves first, could also be a broken filament that sometimes makes contact.

If your going to scrap the old O2 sensor just lop off the wire and use a deep socket to get some leverage. Most likely your going to have to get that puppy cherry red with a torch before you get it out.
